Why this blog?

I started this blog to keep track of my thoughts and notes during “Writing with Food,” a class I am taking at Brown University with Carol DeBoer-Langworthy.

However, this also coincides with my recent decision to learn about food; the selection of it, the cooking of it, the eating of it, the history of it, in other words, just about all there is to know about it. For this reason, I will also include entries pertaining to these aspects of food so that the blog will record much more than just things pertaining to the class, which will end in Nov 2008.
